Interactive Webinar with Vivian Broughton

Discover, experience, and gain a deeper understanding of the newest development within IoPT

Within Identity-Oriented Psychotrauma Theory (IoPT), an important development is taking shape. Since last year, Franz Ruppert has been working with a renewed form of the intention process: no longer with multiple resonators, but with a single resonator.

This development invites reflection and inquiry: what does this new approach mean, and how does it work in practice? Perhaps you already have experience with it, have seen it, or have tried it yourself. Or perhaps you’re simply curious and want to learn more. Whatever your starting point, a new method calls for more than just following along. It calls for understanding, inquiry, and dialogue.

Exploring and reflecting together
On September 25th, Vivian Broughton, Sylvia Monten, and Fanny Kok will come together in this webinar to discuss the strengths and considerations of this new method.

Vivian is a renowned psychotherapist, an IoPT facilitator since the earliest days of the method, and the author of, among other works, the book Trauma and Identity. In this webinar, she will share her perspective, experiences, and considerations as a practitioner to this new form within IoPT. There will be room to ask questions, share experiences, and explore together what this development means. Vivian will also facilitate a live intention process using the new method, giving you the chance not only to understand the background but also to experience firsthand what this approach looks like in practice.

Some of the questions we’ll explore:

  • What does this development involve?
  • What is the added value of working with a single resonator/part?
  • What changes for the client?
  • What advantages and limitations does this approach have?
  • For which clients is this approach suitable?
  • What does this development require of the facilitator in terms of attitude, the preliminary conversation, and interventions?

Who is this for?
This webinar is intended for professionals who are already familiar with IoPT and want to deepen their understanding of the latest development within the method. Basic knowledge of IoPT is required. This webinar is not an introduction to the field, but a deeper exploration for therapists, coaches, facilitators, and constellation practitioners who want to consciously examine what this development could mean for their own practice.

Why participate?
You want to stay up to date on this latest development, understand what it truly means, and form your own opinion on its application in practice. This will deepen your own professional perspective.

“Many people are now confused as to why Franz changed the method and what it means. It doesn’t make sense to simply copy the method without understanding why it changed. For me, this development is both logical and valuable, and I would be delighted to explore it together with you.” Vivian Broughton

Practical information
The webinar will be conducted in English. Questions may also be asked in Dutch; these will be translated during the webinar.

Want to go deeper?
Anyone who works with IoPT knows: this “work” may seem simple at its core, but the processes and facilitation involved are highly layered. That’s exactly why it’s worth continuing to develop yourself as a facilitator.

If you subsequently enroll in the live IoPT Training Program in Amersfoort or the IoPT Advanced Training Program after the webinar, the cost of this webinar will be fully credited. (Both in Dutch.)

Explore further, live
Would you like to explore this new approach further in practice? Save the date: on October 12, 2026, we’re organizing a live exploration day in Amersfoort where you can experiment with this new way of working (Dutch spoken). Interested? Send an email to info@welopstellingen.nl

Feel free to email or call if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything.

About Vivian

Vivian Broughton is an internationally respected psychotherapist, trainer, and author specializing in trauma, attachment, and identity-oriented psychotherapy. She has worked closely with the development of Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Theory (IoPT) and has trained professionals around the world in trauma-informed practice. Her work emphasizes how early relational trauma shapes identity, emotional regulation, and the capacity for healthy relationships. Vivian is known for combining deep theoretical knowledge with compassionate, practical facilitation. She has contributed significantly to the international growth of IoPT through teaching, supervision, and writing. Participants value her ability to make complex trauma dynamics accessible and clinically relevant. Her approach supports greater self-awareness, emotional integration, and lasting personal transformation. Through her work, therapists and facilitators gain practical tools to work safely and effectively with trauma while fostering authentic connection and resilience.

"Franz Ruppert has said that the aim of our explorations of our traumas is towards 'living a good life'. I think this means living a life reasonably free of re-triggered trauma, where most of the time we can feel stable, present and untroubled, and we have what we want, and we want what we have. Part of this is our continuing interest and studentship of life".

With love, Vivian
